Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy involves placing cups (glass cups made for the purpose) on the skin to create a vacuum effect. During a cupping session, you can expect to feel a gentle pulling sensation as the cups are applied to your skin.. This therapy has been used for thousands of years in various cultures, including traditional Chinese medicine, Middle Eastern medicine, and ancient Egyptian medicine. The basic idea behind cupping is to promote blood flow and stimulate the flow of vital energy or "qi" in the body.

Modern Cupping Techniques:
  1. Vacuum Cupping:

    • Uses handheld pumps to create suction instead of fire or heat.

  2. Stationary Cupping:

    • Cups are placed on specific points and left in position for a set time.

  3. Moving Cupping:

    • Involves moving the cups over the skin in a gliding motion, often with the use of oil to reduce friction.
