Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a cornerstone of TCM. It involves the insertion of thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body known as acupoints. Rooted in TCM philosophy, acupuncture aims to stimulate and balance the flow of Qi, the body's vital energy, along meridians to restore health. The practice has evolved into both traditional and modern forms, with the latter emphasizing scientific explanations related to neurotransmitter release and nervous system modulation.

Acupuncture is renowned for its effectiveness in treating a diverse range of conditions, including pain management, stress, digestive issues, insomnia, and more. Treatment is highly individualised and considers the patient's overall health and the specific pattern of imbalance diagnosed through the use TCM principles.

Generally safe when performed by trained practitioners, acupuncture may cause mild and temporary side effects such as soreness or bruising. The number and frequency of sessions vary based on the nature and duration of the condition, with some experiencing immediate relief and others benefiting from a more extended treatment plan.
